To keep only the files you need on your device, fetch the package into Seedr, wait for completion and download selected finished files. The current help says incoming transfers require the complete package. Do not assume unselected files avoid cloud quota.

Import and device download are different

The current Seedr help says the complete package must be transferred into cloud storage. The older instructions to tick files before fetching are removed. Choosing which completed files to save to your device is a separate action and does not retroactively reduce the space needed for the import.

Save selected completed files

  1. Check available cloud space for the complete package.

  2. Import a supported link and wait for completion.

  3. Open the folder and select the files you need on your device.

  4. Use the file download controls and check the saved result before removing any cloud copy.

When the package will not fit

Use an authorized source offering the individual file, free space after checking your backups, or review a suitable plan. Do not queue a large package on the assumption that unwanted files will be skipped.

Separate the two transfers

  • Use a supported source link you are authorized to access. A page requiring your browser login may not be fetchable from its URL alone.

  • Wait for the task to finish and check the file in your cloud folder.

  • Viewing or saving it to your device still uses your connection. Keep enough cloud space for the complete import.

Frequently asked questions

Can I close the browser during a cloud fetch?

Yes. Seedr handles the remote transfer. Your device needs a connection again when you check, view or download the result.

Will a cloud fetch make my slow Wi-Fi faster?

No. It separates the source transfer from your device connection. Watching and downloading still depend on local bandwidth.
