Plays all these formats — V1 and V2

If it’s in your stash, chances are it just works. You can play MKV in the browser like it’s a plain MP4.

Supported formats: MKV, AVI, MP4, M4V, MPEG/MPG, WMV, MOV, 3GP/3G2, M2V, VOB, FLV, M2TS.
This already streams in V1; V2 starts faster and feels snappier. Legacy files (hello, AVI/FLV/VOB/M2TS) behave like modern ones—no “convert first” detours, no mystery errors.

Why MKV matters: MKV is a container (multiple audio tracks + subs). Many web players stumble on mixed/older encodes; here the common cases just play.

Quality control in Settings (Free, Pro, Master)

Open the gear icon (bottom-right) to pick a resolution that fits your screen and connection.

All plans: choose from several options (great for spotty Wi-Fi or saving data).
Pro: stream up to Full HD (1080p).
Master: stream up to 4K for razor-sharp big-screen viewing.

Because playback is server-side, even older laptops and phones handle streams smoothly; on weak connections, simply step quality down a notch.

Subtitles in seconds (SRT + in-player search)

Both V1 and V2 let you search for subtitles in the player and attach your own SRT—no re-encoding, no quality loss.

V2: tap the subtitles icon in the top-right of the video, search (OpenSubtitles) and pick a match, or attach an SRT you already have.
V1: tap the subtitles icon on the bottom control bar of the video, then search (OpenSubtitles) or attach an SRT.

Multi-language audio tracks

Foreign film in the original language? Commentary on a rewatch? Use Settings → Audio tracks to switch audio tracks on the fly—no external tools.

Playback speed (0.5×–3×)

You can change video speed in the browser for study or recaps: open the gear icon (bottom-right) and pick a rate.

0.5× for tutorials/demos
1-1.5× for lectures/interviews

Zoom & snapshots

Need to zoom video in the browser or save a frame?

Mobile: pinch with your fingers
Desktop: Settings → Zoom (bottom-right)
Tap the camera to save a snapshot—handy for notes, mood boards, or quick references.

Audio-only mode

For walks, commutes, and background listening. Audio-only kicks in automatically for audio files and keeps going without the video track—lighter on battery and bandwidth.

Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

PiP gives you a floating window on top of everything else.

Quick steps:

Make the video full-screen.
Switch away from the tab/app (phone: Home gesture; desktop: Alt/Tab).
Now the video keeps playing in a small window while you check messages, read a recipe, or take notes.
