Move files between Google Drive and Seedr

Move files between Google Drive and Seedr by connecting Drive, copying the files and checking the destination before removing the source. Prefer a copy for the first transfer so a mistake does not remove your only usable version.
Connect Google Drive
Open your files in Seedr.
Open the + menu and choose external storage.
Sign in to Google and allow access.
Your Drive appears next to your Seedr files.
External storage is part of paid plans, and the number of connections depends on your plan. Compare them on the pricing page.
Copy a folder and keep its structure
Copy a whole Google Drive folder into Seedr and its folders are kept as a tree. You can also cut, copy, paste and drag files between Seedr and your cloud accounts.
Manage Drive files from Seedr
Move, rename and delete Drive files from inside Seedr. Deleted files go to your Drive trash.
See Drive thumbnails and image previews in search.
If your Google sign-in expires, you stay signed in to Seedr.
Transfers that survive interruptions
Transfers from a connected account resume from the partial file after an interruption and retry temporary errors on their own. See What's new for cloud storage, apps and your account for the full list.
Convert a file in your Drive
A file in a connected account can be converted, and the converted copy is saved beside the original. This needs a paid plan.

Copy first, check, then tidy up
Connect only the Google account you intend to use and review the permissions requested.
Start with a small folder. Check the destination file names, folder structure and a sample file before copying more.
Keep the source until the destination has been checked. Copying is different from a two-way synchronization or a backup policy.
Frequently asked questions
Does connecting Drive make every file downloadable?
No. Access still depends on Google permissions, the file owner and account restrictions.
Is copying a folder the same as continuous sync?
No. A copy is a transfer at a point in time. Do not assume future edits are mirrored automatically.
