When I try to install this using the “install from zip file” option in Kodi, it returns the following error: “Add-on does not have the correct structure.” I’m running Kodi v. 14.2 on a Raspberry Pi using the OpenELEC linux OS v. 5.0.8.

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone tried installing this on a Pi?

We have just fixed the Kodi extension.
It had some compatibility issues with the latest version.

Feel free to download the file in the article and you should be good to go (:

Sorry for the confusing question, after installing the seedr plugin(v0.11 downloaded from the instruction link), it does not activate the popup to give you a access code,,

It does give the following error: (just a bit of the log file.)
ERROR: EXCEPTION Thrown (PythonToCppException) : –>Python callback/script returned the following error<–
    Error Type:
Error Contents: hostname ‘’ doesn’t match either of ‘’, ‘’

Is it possible to link XBMC/Kodi seedr plugin to more than one Seedr account? DO I need multiple Codes or should one code work with more than one Seedr account?

    Just asking;-)

    • Daniel B. February 1, 2016 at 9:02 pm - Reply

The Seedr Kodi plugin connects to a single account – to keep it simple (:

Is there something wrong with the registration system on your site? Trying to enroll but can’t get the confirmation email

    • Daniel B. February 14, 2016 at 6:15 pm - Reply

Looking at the system it seems you should’ve received the mail.
Maybe it is in your spam folder?

I’ve got Seedr addon installed in Kodi, but nothing comes up within the addon itself. Will there be a tutorial for actually using this in Kodi anytime soon? Also, what are the two fields asking for in the addon settings?

    • Daniel B. February 14, 2016 at 6:16 pm - Reply

You just need to go to the URL in the addon and approve the device, the addon is simple a list of playable files and folders 🙂

I did install the plugin and i can browse my files but when I try to play one the movie starts and every 10 seconds freezes and continues several time until it stops all together. It seems like a caching problem but I have no clue how to fix it as there are no settings for the plugin. Please advice for a solution… or fix it with an update because right now the plugin is unusable!

    • Daniel B. April 10, 2016 at 12:18 pm - Reply

      Hey Nikos,

Please open a support ticket at .
It may just be an unstable network connection ( kodi tends to have issues with those ),
or any other issue, we need to have a look 🙂

The plugin streams a transcoded version of the material. If you want to stream the full quality version you can use the WebDAV functionality in Kodi instead – just add the Seedr WebDAV as a WebDAV https source in Kodi. Then the movies etc. will also be part of your Library which makes it even better. Works fine here.
