This is a great feature! altho i would love to see more Languages for it, but its not a must, most people read and understands English.
However, it would be AWESOME if we could customize the text abit, Lets say, if we(users) could remove the annoying soft grey background on the text, and change the color of the text. Probably not something that would be an priority, but its really awesome to be able to customize the text to how you want it.
Also, a nifty feature for future thoughts would be a way to add your own custom Subs 🙂 maybe even a share feature on the custom subtitle, so users can share their custom subtitles. a way to avoid getting spammed with bad subs, would be to add a -rate this sub- button, or a simple thumbs up on the sub, and if its just rated down, it gets deleted of 🙂
anyhow, thats a subtitle thought i had!
Hello Damien,
all good ideas!
1.) Maybe we should get back in touch with the OpenSubtitles guys to submit the user opinions to them – give a little back to the community.
The benefits don’t have to be limited to Seedr 🙂
2.) Custom subs are a planned feature, probably with drag-drop ( either from your storage or from your PC )
3.) As for styling, can’t make any guarantees, but we will ook into it
1. Absolutly, if that was an option, that would help massive ammounts of people, god knows there arent enough people rating subtitles arround, and if that was a way to get a boost on that, it would help both seedr and OS! not a bad thought at all!
2. Im thrilled to hear that! i type subtitles in my own language while watching the show, (real time sub writing) and if i could add my own subs to the shows and so forth i watch here, that would absolutly help! as my GF doesent speak, or understand a spit of English, and sadly enough, all her favorite shows are english >.< so i have to create subs for each show she watches! would be great to add my own subs to this app, so i can stream it to her on our tv at a later point! 😀 , are you guys planning to have support for both Srt, and SUB? or are you just going for Srt?
Hello, i would suggest the inclusion of the portuguese language (Brasil) because it has a large community of translators.
Thank you
Portuguese is an option in language selection, what do you mean by that?
You have Portuguese from Portugal and Porguese from Brasil, the brasilien community have more translators.
If you have the two languages will have more Portuguese subtitles to use, now you only have Portuguese of Portugal!
Thank you
Is the option for custom subtitles available yet?
Also, is it possible to change audio options for dual audio files?
We plan on supporting dual-audio videos in the future — for the moment it is recommended that you download those files and play on your PC.
Hello Victor!
Not at the moment, we will get to it with the next release
Hi Seedr,
It would be great if the plugin for subtitles would store the SRT in the same folder as the video source, and name it as the source, this way it may be possible for chromecast plugins to pick-it-up and play with the selected subtitle
Hey,
We weren’t tracking replies here for some time 🙂
Yes, this is a planned feature. You will be able to select custom subtitles.
How to change audio while streaming.
Alternate audio tracks are a planned feature.
Will likely be added when we integrate support for custom subtitles.
Hi Seedr,
Is it possible to change the size of the subtitles? It usually appears in a huge size and ruins the whole experience.
Love your service btw.
Thanks!
Vladimir
