Who Needs What

Master ($19/mo) — The Sweet Spot

1TB storage handles most media libraries. 25 concurrent tasks means you can add an entire season at once without queuing. WebDAV lets you mount Seedr as a drive for Plex or direct file access. 4K streaming if your content supports it. For most power users, Master is the right choice.

Gold One/Two ($34-49/mo) — Growing Libraries

When 1TB isn't enough. 2-3TB for users who keep content long-term rather than watch-and-delete. 35-50 concurrent tasks for heavy automation setups running Sonarr, Radarr, and Lidarr simultaneously. Uncapped processing speeds.

Gold Three/Four ($79-139/mo) — Serious Infrastructure

5-10TB for extensive archives or shared family libraries. 70-100 concurrent tasks for complex automation pipelines. Dedicated support for troubleshooting integrations. These tiers replace what would otherwise be a physical NAS or dedicated server — no hardware costs, no electricity bills, no maintenance, and accessible from anywhere.

Gold Four at 10TB and 100 tasks is effectively a cloud media server. Connect Plex, automate with *arr apps, and serve your entire household from Seedr's infrastructure instead of running your own hardware.

Always Running

Seedr runs on our servers, not your computer. Start a download, close your browser, come back later — it's done. Files stay available for seeding without keeping hardware running at home.

Ratio requirements handled automatically:

  • Pro: 2:1 ratio or 48 hours
  • Master: 5:1 ratio or 120 hours (5 days)
  • Gold: 5:1 ratio or up to 720 hours (30 days)

Your electricity bill stays the same. Our data center handles the uptime.

Task Slots

Task slots = how many files Seedr processes at once. More slots, faster queue clearing.

  • 8 slots (Pro): Good for regular use
  • 25 slots (Master): Batch processing, multiple sources
  • 50-100 slots (Gold): Heavy automation, large queues

Extra tasks wait in line and start automatically when a slot opens.

Access Methods

WebDAV (Master+)

Mount Seedr as a network drive. Shows up in Finder/Explorer like a local folder. Plex, Jellyfin, and Kodi can scan it directly — your Seedr storage becomes part of your media library without manual transfers.

FTP/FTPS

Works with FileZilla, WinSCP, Cyberduck, or any FTP client. FTPS encrypts the connection. Good for bulk transfers or scripted operations.

REST API

Add files, list contents, get streaming URLs, manage folders — all programmatically. OAuth2 authentication. Build your own integrations or use existing tools like Sonarr and Radarr.

Priority Queue

Master and Gold accounts get processed before free and lower-tier accounts when servers are busy. Gold 3-4 get highest priority with dedicated throughput.

During peak hours, this means your tasks start faster.

4K Streaming

Master and Gold unlock 2160p streaming. Watch in browser or cast to Chromecast. No need to download — stream directly from your Seedr storage.

Automation

Seedr works with tools that automate media management:

  • Sonarr/Radarr: Configure Seedr as download client
  • Browser extension: Right-click any link to add directly to Seedr
  • API: Script anything — add files, check status, trigger downloads

WebDAV Setup

WebDAV lets you mount Seedr as a network drive on your computer. Once connected, your Seedr files appear alongside local folders.

Windows

Open File Explorer → Right-click "This PC" → "Map network drive" → Enter your Seedr WebDAV URL. Windows will prompt for credentials. Check "Reconnect at sign-in" to mount automatically.

macOS

Finder → Go → Connect to Server (Cmd+K) → Enter WebDAV URL. The drive appears in Finder sidebar. For persistent mounting, add to Login Items in System Settings.

Linux

Use davfs2 for command-line mounting, or your file manager's "Connect to Server" option. Most desktop environments (GNOME, KDE) support WebDAV natively.

Media Servers

Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby can scan WebDAV mounts as library sources. Point your media server at the mounted drive, and it indexes your Seedr content automatically. New files appear in your library without manual imports.

API Integration

The Seedr API gives programmatic control over your account. Common uses:

  • Add files: POST magnet links or upload directly
  • List contents: GET folder structure and file metadata
  • Generate links: Create streaming URLs or direct download links
  • Manage storage: Delete files, create folders, move items
  • Check status: Monitor active downloads and queue

Authentication uses OAuth2. You can create access tokens from your account settings. The API works with any language that can make HTTP requests — Python, JavaScript, PHP, shell scripts.

Sonarr/Radarr Integration

These tools automate media library management. Configure Seedr as a download client in Sonarr/Radarr settings using your API credentials. When new content matches your criteria, it gets added to Seedr automatically. Combined with WebDAV mounting, files appear in your Plex library without manual steps.

Common Questions

What's the difference between Master and Gold?

Master: 1TB, 25 tasks, priority queue, WebDAV, 4K. Gold: More storage (2-10TB), more tasks (35-100), uncapped speeds, dedicated support on higher tiers. If 1TB covers your needs, Master is the best value.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Upgrade anytime and pay the prorated difference. Your files and settings carry over.

Is there a contract?

Monthly plans cancel anytime. Yearly plans save about 2 months but commit for the year. Both include 7-day money-back guarantee.

How does this compare to running my own server?

No setup, no maintenance, no electricity costs, no hardware failures to deal with. We handle the infrastructure. You just use it.

What happens if I exceed my storage?

You can't add new files until you free up space. Existing files remain accessible. You can delete files, move them to external storage via FTP/WebDAV, or upgrade your plan.

Are there bandwidth limits?

No download bandwidth limits on any plan. Gold plans additionally have uncapped upload/processing speeds. Master and below share server resources during peak times (priority queue helps here).

Can I share files with others?

Yes. Generate shareable links for any file or folder. Links can be set to expire after a certain time or number of downloads. Useful for sharing large files without email attachments.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, and cryptocurrency. All payments processed securely through Stripe or PayPal.

Is my data backed up?

Seedr uses redundant storage across multiple data centers. Hardware failures don't cause data loss. However, Seedr is not a backup service — if you delete a file, it's gone. Keep important files backed up elsewhere.

Where are the servers located?

Primary servers in Europe with CDN distribution globally. Streaming and downloads are optimized for your location automatically.
