Copy files between Google Drive and your Seedr cloud

Copy files between Google Drive and Seedr by connecting Drive from the + menu, then copying a file or folder to the other storage. This is a cloud transfer, not an automatic backup or a promise to bypass Google permissions.
Connect Google Drive
Open the + menu in your files and choose external storage.
Sign in to Google and allow access.
Your Drive appears next to your Seedr files, and you can browse it there.
What you can do
Copy a whole Drive folder into Seedr and keep its folder tree.
Cut, copy, paste and drag files between Seedr and the connected account.
Rename, move and delete Drive files from inside Seedr. Deleted files go to your Drive trash.
Convert a file that lives in the connected account; the converted file is saved beside the original.
Transfers resume from the partial file after an interruption and retry temporary errors on their own. The details of this release are in What's new for cloud storage.
Limits
External storage is part of paid plans.
How many accounts you can connect depends on your plan.
Seedr copies what Google lets your account read. It does not change Google's own limits on your Drive account.
After copying you can stream the files from Seedr, mount them as a drive or open them on a TV.
Ready to try it? Create a free Seedr account, add your file, and connect your Google Drive.
Copy first, check, then tidy up
Connect only the Google account you intend to use and review the permissions requested.
Start with a small folder. Check the destination file names, folder structure and a sample file before copying more.
Keep the source until the destination has been checked. Copying is different from a two-way synchronization or a backup policy.
Frequently asked questions
Does connecting Drive make every file downloadable?
No. Access still depends on Google permissions, the file owner and account restrictions.
Is copying a folder the same as continuous sync?
No. A copy is a transfer at a point in time. Do not assume future edits are mirrored automatically.
