Merge lecture notes and handouts into one PDF by arranging the inputs, converting non-PDF notes when needed and combining the pages in Seedr's Merge & Scan Docs tool. Review the final order before printing or studying, and keep the source documents.

## Arrange the source material

Keep lecture slides, handouts and your own notes in week or topic order. Use descriptive names so a new file can be inserted later without rebuilding the order from memory. Keep the original documents alongside the combined study pack.

## Combine in Seedr

1. Convert non-PDF notes to a suitable input when needed, keeping the source.
2. Open the + menu and choose Merge & Scan Docs.
3. Add the PDFs and images in the intended order.
4. Name the result by subject and date, then create the document.
5. Open the saved PDF and check orientation, order and missing pages before printing.

## Check before studying

Check the beginning and end of each source, and compare the final page count with the input documents. Look at tables and diagrams at a readable zoom. Page-image scans may be readable but not searchable. OCR, if used separately, also needs proofreading.

## Keep the sources

A combined PDF is convenient for reading, but the separate notes remain useful for corrections and later additions. Storage needs depend on the actual files; a heavily scanned subject can be much larger than text-only notes.

## Build one readable study pack

- Keep source files in week or topic order, then convert non-PDF notes when needed.
- Combine a small sample first and inspect page order and orientation.
- Name the output clearly and check the final page count against the inputs. Keep the sources for later additions.

## Frequently asked questions

### Should I merge files before checking their order?

No. Arrange and preview the inputs first, then check the combined PDF before sharing or printing.

### Does merging make scanned handouts searchable?

Not necessarily. Image-only pages need OCR if you want searchable text.
